We noticed when we walked in they have now started having an additional restaurant within the restaurant a well-known one that I assume is under their ownership as well now. Called The Chop House (at Jakalope Ranch).
We were seated and dined at Jakalope Ranch booth. We had a very friendly waitress who provided excellent service for us. She did apologize saying kitchen was still getting used to running two restaurants out of it. I imagine that would be difficult. But it came off seamless for us. We decided to mix things up and not order off dinner menu but to order off Happy Hour Menu which was enticing.
My husband Jeff and I both ordered the signature Jakalope Margaritas blended mine with salt and his without. We paired those with some delicious Guacamole and chips to start and then we each had the Carne Asada Tacos which came 3 to a serving. They were sumptuous. I wish I had been able to finish the third one but I was stuffed to the gills.
I highly recommend if you’re a local or just visiting to dine out at Jakalope Ranch.
After dinner we headed to the Century Movie theater in La Quinta located at 46-800 Washington Street in La Quinta CA 92253 760-771-5682
We went to see The Space Between Us. I enjoyed the movie it was not completely what I expected and I enjoyed the storyline, the acting and I have to admit it made me tear up a few times. It will warm your heart. When my husband Jeff and I left the theater we saw this adorable baby girl walking with her family and it made us miss our two kiddos.
Hope this has been informative. It was a fun date night with the one I love most in all the world. Time to cuddle with my wonderful husband.
